The HHSRS Property Safety Preliminary Screening Checklist is a practical inspection and recording tool for use in residential property safety checks across England. It supports a whole-dwelling approach by guiding users through property details, occupancy profile, immediate red flag checks, room-by-room inspection, hazard screening, evidence recording, action planning and final sign-off. The checklist covers the 21 HHSRS hazard areas, including falls, fire and explosions, electrical hazards, excess cold, damp and mould, indoor air pollutants, asbestos, water supply, crowding and space, entry by intruders, noise and lighting. This document is intended for preliminary screening only.
