Fire Safety Awareness for Construction Workers

This short, practical course introduces construction workers to the main fire risks found on UK construction sites. It explains how fires start, common causes of site fires, essential prevention measures and the correct actions to take during a fire emergency. Learners will explore hot-work controls, temporary electrical risks, combustible waste, LPG and flammable-liquid storage, site alarms, escape routes, assembly points and fire extinguishers. The course also explains the responsibilities of site management and individual workers. Designed in plain English for workers with no previous fire safety training, the course includes practical construction-site examples, visual guidance and a short final assessment.
